ITC has filed multiple condemnations in Macomb County Circuit Court seeking expanded vegetation management easements.

I previously detailed ITC issuing good faith offers as a prelude to filling new condemnations seeking expanded vegetation management rights along the Adams Spokane line in Oakland and Macomb Counties. I have gathered a large owner group, in particular in the Breckenridge Subdivision in Washington Township. I currently represent 18 households and expect to be retained by more owners now that lawsuits have been filed.

These cases will focus on the diminution in value caused by ITC seeking the right to clear cut both parkland owned by the Subdivision Association and people’s backyards. In some instances, the vegetation rights are so extensive that the easements include residents’ homes.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have been sued by ITC. There are substantial benefits to common attorney representation in cases such as these. Additionally, this blog post explains issues relating to ITC takings.
