Condemnation in China

If you think eminent domain is bad in the United States, check out what happens in China.

This is not necessarily farfetched in American jurisprudence.  I was actually involved in a case like this in Madison Heights, where a tenant in a strip center continued to operate after the balance of the building was demolished.  When working on the Comerica Park/Ford Field acquisitions, I visited a casino in Atlantic City built around one elderly lady's home.
